+Zは、現代の日本の革靴をテーマに手作りで靴を作る吉靴房がクリエイティブファーム・HUMAN AWESOME ERRORの協力によって展開するデザインプロジェクトです。 +Z is a design project by Kikkabo, a handmade shoe manufacturer based on the theme of contemporary Japanese leather shoes, in cooperation with the creative firm HUMAN AWESOME ERROR. ■吉靴房について / About Kikkabo 京都・西陣に工房を構え、日本の履物に向き合い、現代の革靴を製作しています。 With a workshop in Nishijin, Kyoto, the company faces Japanese footwear and produces modern leather shoes. https://kikkabo.info/ ■革への想い / Thoughts on Leather 革は食用の牛と豚からのみ使用します。 尊い命から頂いているからこそ感謝の意を持ち、屠畜の過程で出る皮からタンナーを経て革になる工程にも敬意を払い、無駄にせず使うよう裁断する事を心がけています。 We only use leather from edible cows and pigs. We are grateful for the precious life we receive from these animals, and we respect the process of turning the hides from slaughter into leather through tanneries, and try to cut the hides so that they are used without wasting them.
